Professional Development

Lancashire College runs a range of Professional Development courses as part of our weekly course programme and as short learning breaks, including accredited courses in subjects such as Responsible Alcohol Retailing, Conflict Resolution, Food Safety, Health and Safety, Mentoring, Supporting Learning, Skills for Teachers and much more.

Customised Training Solutions

For companies who require specific training, we can tailor-make courses to suit your needs. Courses can be any length of time and can be taught at a venue of your choice. Training can be provided on a one to one basis, but is more cost effective in small groups.

For more information on bespoke training packages, please contact Dawn Vickers at Lancashire College on 01257 276719.

Teacher Training Solutions

From September 2007 there are new regulations on qualifying to become a teacher in the Lifelong Learning sector. At Lancashire College we offer initial teacher training through the Lancashire Adult Learning service.

The new qualifications are:

- Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTTLS) – this is both an in-service and pre-service course

- Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTTLS) – this is an in-service course

For more information, please visit our Teacher Training page.
