NVQs

How is an NVQ Assessed?

You will be trained and assessed within the workplace, whilst carrying out your daily tasks, through a variety of methods such as observation, work-produced evidence, discussion, photographs and others. This evidence will be collated into a portfolio.

Your Assessor will:

  • Visit you in your workplace
  • Carry out a Training Needs Analysis with you and your line manager
  • Guide you in the choice of relevant units
  • Recommend training as required
  • Help you prepare a portfolio
  • Support you through the assessment process, providing constructive and regular feedback

For more information on NVQs, please call Frieda Alldrick on 01257 276719.

NVQs are also available through the Lancashire College learndirect centres.
