This is a brand new course from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. Consumers are increasingly interested in the effect of diet on health. With more consumers eating foods prepared and cooked outside the home, people who work in a catering context can influence the future health of the population by offering good quality food and healthier choices. This course outlines the basic principles of nutrition and healthy eating, describes the impact that diet has on health and provides information on how food can be modified to meet different nutritional needs. This is an accredited course.
CIEH Level 2 Award in Conflict Resolution & Personal Safety
Many employers within the public and private sector are concerned about the threat of violence their staff face. There have been recent prosecutions against organisations that have failed to provide a safe working environment for staff. This new Chartered Institute for Environmental Health course will help individuals to recognise potential problems and defuse conflicts before they escalate to serious confrontation. CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
Food poisoning is normally caused by negligence or ignorance and there is a belief that a reduction in the number of food poisoning cases will only be achieved by the education of food handlers. This newly structured course has been upgraded to a level 2 qualification and is designed to give food handlers an appreciation of the fundamentals of good food hygiene practice. This is an accredited course.

This accredited course from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, covers a broad range of Health and Safety topics appropriate for all sectors of industry. Employers are responsible for providing a safe and healthy workplace and safe systems and methods of working. Employees also have a vital part to play in this process and therefore require the knowledge to help put this requirement into practice. This course provides an introduction to health and safety at work including aspects of the law and risk assessment. It looks at a variety of hazards and risks common to most workplaces such as fire safety, manual handling and hazardous substances. This is an accredited course.
